Stiffe Hooker Ltd were the Architects and Engineers for the Pak ‘n Save Whangarei extension and refurbishment, and for the original building, which was one of the foundation stores of the 1980’s roll-out of large format supermarkets.

The extension and refurbishment involved a car park expansion the into neighbouring sites and a building expansion.

A complete new structure and building envelope were constructed over the original supermarket, providing a 52%  increase to the supermarket’s floor area and creating a vibrant new shopping environment whilst allowing the store to continue trading throughout the expansion.
