A new Vehicle Parts Distribution Facility for European Motor Distributors Ltd (EMD).
The parts storage warehouse and breezeway areas provide for 7,300m2 of racked storage, up to 12.5m high. The warehouse has an insulated twin skin roof to help control temperature variations and staff desking areas have localised temperature control.
The office building includes generous open plan desk areas with Boardroom, Meeting Rooms and Breakout Spaces. A space is provided for Vehicle Launch Events with separate café point kitchen and toilet facilities. This space is designed to open up to cater for events by way of large glass sliding doors.
The facility is targeting a Greenstar Level 5 certification through New Zealand Green Building Council with a range of sustainability implementations across categories of Management, Indoor Environment Quality, Energy, Transport, Water, Materials, Emissions and Innovation. This includes a rainwater harvesting system with water treatment to deliver potable water, a roof mounted solar array and sustainable materials selections.
